This INTAJ Tree of Life urn is hand-carved from solid sheesham, also called Indian rosewood. The finish is a deep brown with darker grain, darker than raw rosewood, and the carved tree with birds is cut into the front panel by hand, so every piece varies slightly. This is the Companion size: 640 cubic inches, our largest. Confirm the combined volume with your funeral home before ordering. Outside it measures 14 x 7.5 x 7.5 in. Choosing a size: a common guide is one cubic inch of capacity for each pound of healthy body weight. The family comes in Keepsake 20, Medium 115, Large 180, X-Large 250 and Companion 640 cubic inches, in deep brown rosewood or antique white. Outside measurements include the walls, so check both your display space and the capacity you need. How it opens: the bottom panel slides out for filling and slides back in to close. A single small screw holds the panel; loosen it with a screwdriver first and refit it after filling. A funeral home can transfer the ashes for you. In the box: one urn in the size and finish you select, supplied plain with no name or dates. Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep away from standing water.
