What is the YOUHO Pneumatic Hopper Sprayer? It's a tool that uses compressed air to atomize and propel viscous materials onto a surface. The material is held in a "hopper" (the large metal bucket on top) and fed by gravity to the nozzle, where air pressure creates a spray pattern. Key Features & Components (Based on Common Models): 4-Jet Nozzle: This is the core of its performance. The four air jets provide a more even, consistent, and forceful spray pattern than single-jet models, helping to prevent clogging and handle thicker materials. Pneumatic Operation: Requires a high-volume air compressor (CFM is critical, more on that below). Large Hopper: Typically holds around 1.5 - 2 gallons (6-8 liters), reducing refill stops. Adjustable Material Flow Valve: Allows you to control how much material is fed into the airstream. Adjustable Air Cap/Pattern Control: Lets you change the spray pattern from a round dot to a vertical or horizontal fan. Minimum CFM: You typically need a compressor that can deliver at least 8-12 CFM at 90 PSI. This is not the compressor's "peak" rating, but its continuous duty output. Tank Size: A larger tank (60+ gallons) is ideal, but a smaller 20-30 gallon compressor can work if it has a high enough CFM rating and you are prepared for it to run constantly. What Happens if Undersized? The sprayer will sputter, the material won't atomize properly, and you'll get a rough, inconsistent application. The compressor will never stop running and may overheat.
