Remove the Original H4 Bulb 1. Open the hood and locate the headlight housing. 2. Disconnect the factory H4 3-pin connector. 3. Release the retaining clip and remove the OEM halogen bulb. 2. Install the Xentec H4 HID/halogen Combo Bulb 1. Insert the new Xentec H4 Hi/Lo bulb into the housing. 2. Ensure the base tabs are aligned correctly with the reflector housing. 3. Secure with the factory retaining clip. 3. Wiring Connections 1. Connect the factory H4 3-pin socket to the Xentec bulb harness (this powers HID low and halogen high beam). 2. Plug the HID capsule wires into the ballast output connectors. 3. Connect the ballast input to the Xentec harness. 4. Mount the ballast securely in the engine bay using screws, brackets, or zip ties, away from heat and moving parts. 4. Test the Setup 1. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Turn on the low beams → HID capsule should ignite (allow 10–20 seconds to reach full brightness). 3. Switch to high beams → halogen filament should light up instantly. 4. If one side does not work, check polarity of the ballast input connector and ensure all connections are tight. 5. Final Steps - Secure all wires neatly with zip ties. - Reinstall dust covers if they fit (some housings may require modified covers). - Close the hood and check headlight aim to avoid glare. ■ Installation Complete Your Xentec H4 Hi/Lo HID kit is now installed.
