Product Contents (2) HID Xenon Bulbs — H11 / H8 / H9 compatible (2) Rubber gaskets pre-installed (No ballast included — requires Xentec or any compatible AC HID ballast) 2. Safety Precautions Turn off the engine and remove the key. Allow halogen bulbs to cool before removal. Do not touch the glass portion of the HID bulb; oils from your fingers may shorten bulb life. Ensure all connections are secure and weather-sealed before operating. HID systems operate at high voltage — avoid touching wires when powered. 3. Before Installation Confirm the following: Vehicle uses H11/H8/H9 bulb size for low beam or fog light. You have a working HID ballast (35W or 55W). Battery voltage is stable (12–14V). Optional: Clean headlight housing for maximum output. 4. Installation Steps Step 1: Remove OEM Halogen Bulb Open the hood and locate the headlight bulb access area. Twist the OEM H11 bulb counterclockwise and pull out. Disconnect the factory 2-pin plug. Step 2: Install the HID Bulb Insert the Xentec HID bulb into the headlight housing. Rotate clockwise until fully locked. Make sure the rubber gasket is seated and sealed to prevent moisture. Step 3: Connect Wiring Each bulb has two connectors: A. HID Bulb → Ballast Connect the two thick blue/black insulated wires from the bulb to the HID ballast output wires (these connectors are polarity-matched and only fit one way). B. Factory Power → Ballast Input Plug the vehicle’s OEM H11 2-pin connector into the ballast input plug. If the system does not turn on, reverse the polarity (rotate the 2-pin plug 180°). Optional: If your vehicle requires a relay harness, capacitor, or decoder, connect it between the factory plug and the ballast input. 5. Testing the System Turn on the headlights. The HID bulb should ignite with a blue-white 6000K color. Allow 5–10 seconds for full brightness. If one side flickers or fails to ignite: Check polarity on the factory plug. Check ground. Swap ballasts side-to-side to diagnose a bad ballast. 6. Final Steps Secure all wiring away from moving parts and heat. Keep wires tight and waterproof using zip ties and electrical tape. Close dust covers if your headlight housing uses them. 7. Troubleshooting Guide Bulb doesn’t turn on Reverse polarity on the factory 2-pin plug Check ballast connections Swap ballasts to isolate issue Inspect fuse (usually 10A–15A headlight fuse) Flickering / intermittent lighting Weak battery or alternator Loose ground Need CANBUS decoder or relay harness (common for newer vehicles) Color mismatch Normal during the first 5–10 hours (“burn-in” time) Use same wattage ballasts (35W both sides, not mixed with 55W) 8. Maintenance Do not touch the bulb glass. If contaminated, clean gently with alcohol. Replace bulbs in pairs for consistent color and brightness. Keep ballast dry and mounted securely.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $2 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for Xentec products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
