Description

The aperture of this woodturning Universal Dust Hood measures 230mm x 130mm. This tapers down to a 100mm diameter round spigot.

The relatively compact size (overall depth 230mm) allows the hood to be positioned close to the source of the dust. The articulated bracket system makes it easy to adjust its position for a more targeted extraction and place the hood in the path of flying shavings.

The bracket system allows plenty of adjustment, horizontally: side to side and forwards and backwards and vertically: up and down. It is simple to position when turning smaller items or sanding; the closer you can get to the source of the dust the more effective the extraction.

It can be fitted to just about any lathe with a flat top bed or with round bed bars. It is supplied with two double sided base plates covering lathes with bed bar gaps of 24mm, 36mm, 48mm and 58mm.
