Rather than using thin materials that feel flimsy and don't keep a firm hold, we use thick, heavy duty tubing and clamps that will keep their form for years to come. Also, these fence height extenders have a durable electroplate galvanized surface, so you can rest assured they will hold up during extreme seasonal weather. Knurled clamp surface provides superior grip on top rail to prevent slipping. We've listened to you, and we have seen complaints of various fence height extenders that just can't keep a strong grip on the top rail. The last thing you want is to walk outside and see your fence height extender kit has slipped. Whether you are trying to keep your pets in, or other critters out, our knurled inner clamp surface will ensure secure hold on the top rail. Stylish acorn shaped cap matches standard chain link fence post caps. Rather than using a tacky looking ball endcap, or worse yet a plastic cap, these chain link fence height extenders use an acorn shape cap that provides a cohesive look to your fence. The caps are made from thick steel and welded directly to the extender tube to provide a durable connection and hassle-free experience. Includes 9 extenders, mounting hardware, and 30 steel ties. The 9 fence post extenders cover about 100 feet of fencing. We have included the hardware to clamp them onto the top rail, along with stainless steel ties to help secure your fencing material to each post extender. Note that some top rails aren't secure, and can spin. If this is the case, we recommend getting some metal tapping screws from your local hardware store and securing each end. Fits 1-3/8" chain link fence top rails. Place the clamp end over the top rail and press downward to pop them on. This may take a bit of weight and force, but will ensure a secure fit. Once on the top rail, you can adjust to any angle between 45° to 90°, as some people find certain angles to be more effective for their situation. Once decided on an angle, simply use a wrench or socket to tighten the clamp down.
