Compact EVO Design with Pro-Level Image Quality: As the first lens in the VILTROX EVO Series, the AF 85mm F2 EVO delivers a major evolution in size, weight, and performance. Featuring an advanced 8 elements in 10 groups optical design with ED and high-refractive elements, it offers excellent sharpness from center to edge in a compact, lightweight full-frame portrait lens

F2.0 Large Aperture – Perfect Balance of Bokeh & Portability: The F2.0 aperture strikes the ideal balance between creamy background blur and practical portability. Compared to F1.8 lenses, it maintains nearly identical bokeh while achieving better size control, improved overall performance, and reliable low-light shooting for indoor and evening portraits

85mm Classic Portrait Perspective: The 85mm focal length is the gold standard for portraits, delivering natural facial proportions without distortion. Ideal for half-body and full-body portraits, it creates strong subject separation with smooth, pleasing background blur—perfect for portrait, lifestyle, and daily photography

Smooth & Reliable Autofocus for Photo and Video: Powered by a stepping STM motor with internal focusing, the lens delivers fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus. The linear manual focus response and low focus breathing make it well-suited for video recording, interviews, and cinematic portrait shots on Nikon Z cameras

Professional Controls & Durable Metal Build: Designed with a premium metal barrel, the lens features a de-clickable aperture ring, AF/MF switch, customizable Fn button, and a weather-sealed mount gasket. The front element has a water- and oil-repellent coating, and the built-in USB-C port supports easy firmware updates via VILTROX Lens PC software

The VILTROX AF 85mm F2 EVO Z-Mount is a compact, high-performance full-frame portrait prime lens designed for Nikon Z cameras. As the first release in the EVO (Evolution of Essentials) Series, it redefines the balance between professional image quality and everyday portability. Built with an advanced 8 groups / 10 elements optical structure, including ED (extra-low dispersion) and high-refractive elements, the lens delivers outstanding resolution, strong contrast, and excellent edge-to-edge sharpness—even when shooting wide open at F2.0. A floating focus design further enhances close-range performance, allowing photographers greater flexibility in composition without sacrificing image quality. The 85mm focal length, long regarded as the ideal portrait perspective, produces natural compression and flattering facial proportions. Combined with the F2.0 aperture, it creates smooth, pleasing background separation while remaining practical for low-light environments such as indoor sessions or evening shoots. With a minimum focusing distance of approximately 0.74m, the lens also excels at expressive close-up portraits and detail shots. For modern hybrid creators, the lens features a quiet and precise STM autofocus motor, delivering stable focusing performance for both photography and video. Internal focusing ensures consistent balance during operation, while low distortion and controlled focus breathing contribute to clean, professional-looking footage. Designed for reliability and intuitive control, the AF 85mm F2 EVO features a full metal housing, click on/off aperture ring, AF/MF switch, and a customizable Fn button for quick access to key settings. A weather-sealed mount gasket and a water- and oil-resistant front coating enhance durability for everyday use. Firmware updates are easily performed via the integrated USB-C port, ensuring long-term compatibility with Nikon Z systems. Lightweight, powerful, and refined, the VILTROX AF 85mm F2 EVO is an ideal portrait lens for photographers and videographers seeking professional results without the bulk.
