By holding your iPad securely in place with just a magnetic force.

You can setup this mount with only two self-tapping screws, or you can setup it with the 3M adhesive backing that comes with it.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that once the adhesive backing is attached to a surface, such as a wall, it can be extremely difficult to remove it afterwards.

Usually, a flat, smooth surface will help the adhesive backing to hold firmly.
