Description

Be Bee Friendly: The Bee Lawn Mix gives residents a chance to help and give pollinating insects (60 + bee species) a food source in their own, aesthetically beautiful, home lawn

Maintenance: During establishment, light, frequent watering until seedlings mature; Mow once a month to a height of 3-5 inches; Allowing lawn to grow to 6” and cutting back to 4” will result in more blooms (and more food) for the pollinators

Growing Condition: Full sun in well-draining soil; For overseeding, mow the existing lawn very short for sunlight to reach the soil; For new seeding, remove existing vegetation and apply organic starter fertilizer

Seed Coverage & Germination: 5 lbs per 1000 sq ft (225 lbs per acre); Germination in 7-15 days under ideal conditions

Mix Composition: 23.5% Celestial Creeping Red Fescue, 23.5% Shadow III Chewings Fescue, 23% Bighorn GT Hard Fescue, 23% Blue Mesa Sheep Fescue, 5% Self Heal, 2% Yaak Yarrow (subject to change due availability without notice; function and intention of mix will remain unchanged)

The Native Bee Lawn Mix uses all native wildflowers to transform your home lawn into a beautiful mix of turfgrass and flowers. This seed mix is designed to reinforce the longstanding evolutionary relationships we observe in nature between pollinators and the native plants they depend on.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $10 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for Twin City Seed Co. products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
