This bunkie board must be placed on an existing supportive foundation with slat or bar gaps no greater than 10 inches. It is an additional under-mattress support layer and is not designed to replace a bed frame, bed slats, box spring, or other load-bearing foundation. It may help reduce dipping caused by gaps between slats, but it cannot repair a damaged bed frame or restore a permanently worn or damaged mattress.
