Description

Clears Water All Season -- The Pond Guy UltraUV Pond Clarifier is the ideal choice for ponds and water gardens that suffer from excessive algae and poor water quality caused by full sun exposure.

Eliminate Green Water for Good -- UV clarifier equipment is designed to destroy the ultrafine planktonic algae that causes green water. Ultraviolet light radiation destroys algae’s cellular wall.

Vortex Chamber -- The durable vortex design of the UltraUV channels incoming water around the UV bulb several times for maximum exposure before exiting, ensuring crystal clear water all season.

Results in as Little as 48 Hours -- The ultraviolet rays clear the water before it exits the unit and proceeds to a biological filter or back to the pond. UV Clarifiers require a properly sized pump.

EPA Registered Equipment -- UltraUV pond clarifier is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency for the treatment of small ponds that suffer from excessive algae and poor water quality.

Control your clean - not green - water all season! UV (ultra violet) clarifiers from The Pond Guy are designed to destroy the ultra-fine particles that discolor your outdoor water garden, freshwater fish pond, fountain, or water feature. UV products are a great addition to ponds with full sun exposure, which are naturally more conducive to accelerated aquatic plant and algae growth. The Pond Guy UltraUV Pond Clarifier is the ideal choice for ponds that suffer from poor water quality and algae blooms caused by full sun exposure. The vortex design channels / twists incoming water around the UV bulb several times for maximum exposure before exiting. UVlight clarification systems are fish and plant safe. The ultraviolet rays clear the water, almost like a sanitizer, before exiting the unit and proceeding to a biological filter or back into the pond. Mechanical filtration such as a skimmer or external filtration system will trap large organics, acting as a remover of debris. UV lights and filtration improve the ecosystem of a pond. Adding aeration will further improve your pond's health and balance by increasing circulation and oxygenation. Aerator, filter, and pump sold separately. Low maintenance. UV bulbs should be replaced annually. Clean the quartz sleeve / tube fixture wherever there is buildup. UV lighted clarifiers work as a water polisher within 48 hours with pumps up to 600 GPH. Connect to 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" tubing. Fittings can be cut down to the largest connection that will work with your plumbing for optimum performance. Ideal for ponds up to 1,000 gallons . When sizing a pump for a UV clarifier system, you want the flow rate to be just right. A UV clarifier works by destroying the algae that pass through the unit. Water moving too fast / rapid means that the cell wall is not exposed to the UV light long enough to do damage. Move the water too slowly and it becomes a sterilizer, killing everything – including your beneficial bacteria.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $20 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for The Pond Guy products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
