S-LON FIRE: This is a pre-waxed, braided bead thread consisting of gel-spun polyethylene, which is known as the strongest fiber, per diameter, ever created. It has an unbelievably high tensile strength and is recommended for various bead weaving and jewelry making projects.
DETAILS: Our S-Lon Fire is 6lb. test and comes in a crystal-clear color. The cord measures .006” (.15mm) in diameter. The 125 yards are wound on a spool that is secured with a clear plastic clip. Keep your thread secure and organized.
EASY FINISH: Because this is a super strong material, we recommend using sharp, precise scissors for cutting the string. However, the thread can also be burned instead of snipping. A thread burner is easier to use and more precise. This method seals the ends, which prevents frayed edges or split ends.
