The Basement Watchdog Professional 1/2 HP Cast Iron/Cast Aluminum Submersible Sump Pump has high capacity, heavy-duty housing and pro-grade components—which all add up to an exceptional sump pump. It features a powerful and energy-efficient permanent split capacitor (PSC) copper-wound motor providing up to 4,200 GPH at 0 ft lift and 2,770 GPH at 10 ft. lift. The cast iron/cast aluminum, construction and dual ball bearings along with dual carbon ceramic, and one Buna-N, shaft seals, protect the motor for years of service. Used with a caged dual float switch and controller, the pump will be automatically activated when rising water lifts either float by ¼ in. Once the float drops to the original position, the controller will keep the pump running for an additional 10 seconds to completely drain the sump pit. The protective float-switch cage prevents debris or other wires from interfering with the floats, while the vented and curved bottom prevents debris from building up under the primary float. The float switch is easy to install and can be adjusted to any level. The BWT050 is a powerhouse of a sump pump, but runs on only 3.8 amps--saving you money on energy!
