Compatibility Check - For compatible Andersen 400 Series Perma-Shield casement windows manufactured from 1982 to 1995. Compare the original operator's arm shape, mounting holes, and sash connection before ordering. Window age alone does not establish fit;
Left Hand Means Lock on Left - Stand inside the home facing the window. This left-hand version is for a unit with its lock on the left. A lock on the right requires the right-hand version. Do not select handing by the apparent direction of the arm in a product photo.
Operator and Handle Included - Includes one left-hand split arm operator and one matching crank handle. Provides replacement components for a compatible window when the existing operator and handle need attention.
Repair Worn Operating Hardware - Designed to help restore controlled opening and closing when a worn or damaged operator causes the problem. Check the sash, hinges, and track as well, since replacing an operator will not correct unrelated alignment or movement issues.
Check Fit Before Installation - Compare the old and new mechanisms before removal and follow the applicable installation instructions. After fitting, check arm clearance, opening travel, and full closure without forcing the crank.
Compatible with Andersen 400 Series Perma-Shield casement windows manufactured from 1982 to 1995 only. Fits casement crank-out windows only. Not compatible with awning, sliding, double-hung, fixed windows, bare wood units, early 1966-1981 Perma-Shield models, or redesigned 1996 and newer Andersen windows.
To help confirm fit, check the white label on the top interior frame for 400 Series or A Series, verify a manufacture year from 1982 to 1995, and confirm the sash has a Perma-Shield vinyl-clad exterior.
