Seven Functions of Valves Positions:
FILTER, BACKWASH, RINSE, WASTE, CLOSED, RECIRCULATE, WINTER.
Filter – Performs standard daily filtration and routine vacuuming processes.
Backwash – Cleans the sand bed by reversing the water flow through the filter to remove accumulated debris.
Rinse – Following backwashing, directs the water flow to waste in order to flush out residual debris from the system.
Waste – Bypasses the filtration system to either lower the pool water level or vacuum heavy debris directly out of the system.
Recirculate – Circulates water back to the pool while bypassing the filtration system to maintain water movement.
Closed – Halts all water flow between the pump and the filter for maintenance or shutdown purposes.
Winter – Drains and prepares the valve and system for freezing winter conditions (specifically designed for SP0714T models).
