What special features does a Schwalbe inner tube offer? In addition to the quality of the ingredients, the purity of the rubber compound is decisive for the quality of the inner tube. The base material is therefore pressed through a total of seven filters under enormous pressure before extrusion. All hoses are placed in a mould and pumped up for vulcanization. This is the only way to ensure uniform wall thicknesses and high air retention. All finished hoses are inflated and stored for at least 24 hours in order to test them for air retention. Each tube is then carefully checked individually by visual inspection. Thanks to its high elasticity and quality, one tube covers a wide range of tire sizes. Tube no. 17 works just as well with 28 mm tire widths as with 47 mm.
