Round Woven Placemats Set of 6, 13.4 Inch Water Hyacinth Charger Plates, Sized to Sit Under a 10 to 11 Inch Dinner Plate, Handwoven Wicker Table Mats with Flower Edge for Boho Farmhouse Dining — Open-Box, 6% Off

MEASURE BEFORE YOU BUY — Each mat is 13.4 inches across, charger size. A 10 to 11 inch dinner plate sits inside it with a ring of weave showing all the way around. If your dinner plates are wider than 11 inches, the plate will cover the mat and you want a larger size, not this one.

NATURAL COLOR VARIES MAT TO MAT — Water hyacinth is a dried river plant, so tone runs from pale straw to light honey and no two mats are identical. Screens also show this color warmer than it is in daylight. That variation is the material, not a defect.

SET OF 6 SEATS A STANDARD TABLE — Six mats cover a six-seat dining table with nothing left over to buy. Add the Set of 8 or Set of 10 from this same listing if you host larger.

THICK ENOUGH TO PROTECT THE TABLE — Densely handwoven and substantial in the hand, these mats lie flat and shield the surface from hot plates, cold glasses and small scratches. Spare mats double as trivets under serving dishes.

REAL HANDWOVEN WATER HYACINTH — Each mat is woven by hand in Vietnam from sun-dried water hyacinth stalks, a fast-renewing river plant rather than plastic. Give them a day to air out after unboxing; the natural grass scent fades on its own.

Six seats is the size most dining tables are built around, and this is the set that matches it exactly. Six round woven placemats, 13.4 inches across each, enough to lay a full table without buying a second pack. The diameter is the point. At 13.4 inches, a 10 to 11 inch dinner plate sits inside the mat with a ring of natural weave showing all the way around, which is what a charger plate does. A smaller mat disappears under the plate and the table looks unset. The edge is woven into a scalloped flower border rather than cut flat, so each mat has a finished rim that frames the plate. It is a small difference that shows up immediately in a photograph and across a laid table. Every mat is handwoven in Vietnam from water hyacinth, a river plant that regrows in weeks. The stalks are sun-dried and woven while still supple, so the weave tightens as it dries and the mat stays flat instead of curling. Care is simple: wipe with a damp cloth, air dry, store flat. Both faces are finished the same way, so a mat that picks up a mark can be flipped over. Avoid soaking and they keep their shape and warm honey colour year after year. In the box: 6 round water hyacinth placemats, 13.4 inches diameter, flower edge, natural.
