Description

GRAPHENEQ DRIVERS BY ORA: The 40 mm GrapheneQ drivers are built from pure graphene material, with less than 0.3% harmonic distortion for advanced, studio-grade game audio.

HIGH-FIDELITY AUDIO: R5 MAX HD delivers accurate audio reproduction across the entire listening spectrum with high dynamic range and an extended frequency response of 20 Hz – 40 kHz.

TUNED FOR COMPETITIVE GAMING: RIG’s custom R-SERIES sound signature is tuned with a boost in the upper midrange to enhance game-critical details like footsteps and reloads.

USB-C AUDIO DAC: Connect the R5 MAX HD to your PC or mobile gaming device using the included USB-C DAC and upgrade to an industry-leading 32-bit / 384 kHz audio resolution, for true-to-source audio reproduction.

OPTIMIZED FOR DOLBY ATMOS*: React faster and more accurately with Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Connecting your R5 MAX HD to the USB-C Audio DAC, and into your PC or Windows mobile gaming device, instantly unlocks enhanced 3D audio rendering by Dolby on compatible platforms - Windows 10/11 PCs (not compatible with XBOX consoles).

DEDICATED AUDIO HUB: Connect a second audio source to monitor stream alerts or notifications with the USB-C DAC’s auxiliary audio input. The USB-C power-passthrough port allows for on-the-go mobile gaming while delivering ultra-high-resolution audio.

BROADCAST-GRADE MICROPHONE: A 6 mm unidirectional microphone with a 50Hz—15 kHz frequency range ensures every command is transmitted loud and clear.

MAGNETIC CUSTOMIZATION: The SNAP+LOCK mod system allows for seamless headset customization—reposition your microphone to the left or right ear cup, remove it entirely, and swap out ear cushions with the magnetic lock-on design.

RIG MOD-PLATES: Personalize your R5 MAX HD with swappable Mod-Plates. Mod-Plates are universally compatible across all R5 Series headsets through the SNAP+LOCK mod system. (*Additional Mod-Plate designs sold separately.)

PREMIUM DESIGN AND COMFORT: Dual-material ear cushions, a memory foam head cushion and metal headband offer unmatched comfort with optimal clamping force and reinforced durability.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $62 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for RIG products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
