Description

This part is for propane water heaters only. It will only work on propane heaters. The electronic gas control valve incorporates an LED status indicator that monitors system operation and service diagnostics. The PROPANE gas control located inside the hot water heater uses a thermopile to generate the power necessary to operate the electronic gas control without the need for an external power source. This product has been third-party certified to meet the Safe Drinking Water Act requirements for low-lead applications in potable (human consumption - drinking and cooking) and non-potable (non-human consumption) water applications. The thermostat is compatible with all AO Smith brand heaters, including AO Smith, State Water Heaters, American Water Heater, and Reliance. Please note that this part may be labeled RESIDEO due to a corporate acquisition. This is still the correct part!
