SIMPLE 2:1 STARTING MIXING RATIO: Begin with approximately 2 parts cerium oxide powder to 1 part clean water and mix thoroughly. Add small amounts of water as needed until the compound reaches a smooth, workable slurry consistency. The ideal thickness may vary depending on the surface, polishing tool and application, so use 2:1 as a starting point rather than a fixed requirement.

DESIGNED FOR CONTROLLED WET POLISHING: Apply the prepared slurry with a damp felt polishing pad or other compatible polishing tool. Keep both the pad and work surface damp during use, polish evenly and do not allow the compound to dry on the surface. Do not use the powder dry. For rock tumbling, follow the machine manufacturer’s final-polish loading and operating instructions.

CLEAN PREPARATION HELPS PREVENT RE-SCRATCHING: Thoroughly clean the workpiece, tumbler barrel, polishing pads and tools before beginning the final-polish stage, as leftover coarse grit may introduce new scratches. Use dedicated or fully cleaned tools whenever possible, avoid cross-contamination between grit stages, and rinse the finished surface completely after polishing.
