Description

IMPORTANT CONSOLE COMPATIBILITY NOTICE for Xbox / PlayStation：This dual-bay external storage comes with 2 pre-installed 500G hard drives and supports multiple working modes. Under PM (Normal) mode, Windows/Mac computers can detect both 500G drives as two separate disks. Game consoles (Xbox / PS) have built-in system limitations: when using PM mode, the console will only recognize ONE of the two 500G hard drives via single USB connection. To use the full 1TB total capacity on game consoles, switch to RAID0 mode, merging the two 500G disks into ONE single volume. ⚠️RAID0 Risk: If any single drive fails, all stored data will be lost.

Dual Bay Pre-installed Storage: This unit ships with two factory pre-installed 500G hard drives. Under PM mode, PC can access both 500G disks independently for separate file storage and management. Use hardware DIP switch to toggle PM, RAID0, RAID1, JBOD modes to fit different storage scenarios.

SuperSpeed USB3.0 Type-C Interface: Transfer speed up to 5Gbps. Equipped with dedicated external power adapter to supply stable power for both hard drives, preventing undetected disk issues caused by insufficient power. Plug & play, no extra hard drive installation required.

Wide System Compatibility: Works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux. Can be used with Xbox / PlayStation after switching to RAID0 mode. Supports hot swap.

Package Includes: Dual bay external storage (with 2 pre-installed 500G HDD), USB-C cable, user manual. If you encounter disk recognition problems, please check the mode DIP switch first, feel free to contact our customer support.

PS4 and PS5 Console Support: The PS5 supports playing PS4 games directly from an external hard drive, but PS5 games must be stored internally, while PS4 and PS5 consoles can freely transfer and use external hard drive data with each other

Xbox Series X/S Compatibility: The Xbox Series X/S only supports running Xbox One games directly from an external hard drive, while selecting Use for Media limits it to pictures and videos, and switching between Xbox and office use requires reformatting or repartitioning

Storage Capacity Calculation: Different operating systems calculate hard drive capacity differently than manufacturers using binary calculations, where 1TB equals approximately 931 GB in Windows systems, 500 GB equals approximately 465 GB, 320 GB equals approximately 298.02 GB, and 250 GB equals approximately 232.83 GB

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $5 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for PILCNLA products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
