The Chromite Russian ball is a thin-shelled with dense chromite filling. A chromite ball has an enhanced Russian effect compared to the other ball filling (such as sand, bird feed, millet, and micro-glass beads). The lighter the weight of the shell in comparison to the weight of the filling, the more intense the effect.
In general this type of ball is mostly used for numbers juggling, but has become much more popular for all types of toss juggling
The high density chromite filling lowers the center of gravity of the ball, and the filling falls to the bottom of the ball faster on the catch compared to sand filling.
