Opus 88 Demonstrator is the largest fountain pen produced by the Taiwanese company with a special and attractive transparent resin finished by a mix of polished and satin finishes. The special loading system, which distinguishes all the Opus 88, is called Eyedropper and recalls the traditional Japanese charging system where it is added to the dropper, also used in Europe since 1800, a flow shut-off valve that on the Opus 88 is made of ebonite. To refill the pen, simply unscrew the writing unit and insert the ink into the tank with a special pipette contained in the package. When everything is screwed on, the ink is sent to the nib by acting on the back of the pen body and opening the valve in the tank. After writing, the valve is closed and the fountain pen is safely transported as the flow is blocked. You can then take any Opus 88 on the plane and under extreme pressure/temperature conditions without risking ink leaks and spills.
