Description

PLANETARY NEEDLE ACTION: Uses 15 ultra-fine needles divided into 5 groups. Each group rotates independently while orbiting the basket, creating a true planetary stirring motion that reaches more of the coffee bed than standard WDT tools MAXIMUM PUCK UNIFORMITY: Breaks up clumps, loosens dense areas, and levels the coffee bed evenly to reduce edge buildup, minimize channeling, and improve overall extraction consistency STEPLESS DEPTH CONTROL: Simply twist the handle to set your preferred stirring depth. Easily fine-tune for different basket sizes and doses, from light 18 g shots to more intense 22 g extractions MAGNETIC BASE & CNC-MACHINED BODY: Built from anodized aluminum, 304 stainless steel for durability and a premium feel. The magnetic base allows stable docking on compatible metal stands or surfaces between shots COMPLETE LONG-TERM KIT: Includes 30 spare 0.25 mm needles, 30 spare 0.3 mm needles, and a dedicated needle installation tool, making it easy to replace bent needles and keep your V3 distributor performing like new

Upgrade your puck preparation with the Normcore Planetary Needle Distributor Tool V3, designed for 54 mm espresso setups and perfectly suited for Breville / Sage 54 mm portafilters.

Unlike traditional WDT tools, the V3 uses 15 ultra-fine needles divided into 5 groups that rotate independently while orbiting across the basket. This planetary motion creates a complex 3D stirring pattern that reaches deep into the coffee bed.

As the tool descends into the portafilter, each needle group spins and sweeps through the grounds, breaking up clumps, eliminating air pockets, and evening out density from center to edge. The result is a more uniform puck that resists channeling and delivers cleaner, more consistent extractions.

Optimized for popular Breville / Sage 54 mm machines—such as the Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, and Bambino Plus—the V3 helps you get the most out of your grinder and beans with every shot.

The stepless depth adjustment lets you dial in the stirring depth for different baskets and doses, while the CNC-machined metal body and magnetic base provide a solid, premium feel on your bar. With 60 spare needles included in two thicknesses plus an installation tool, the V3 is built for long-term daily use at home or in the café.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $45 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for Normcore products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
