Description

2-IN-1 DUAL HEAD DESIGN: Distributor and tamper combined in one tool — level your coffee grounds evenly, then flip to tamp with consistent pressure. The dual-sided design saves counter space and simplifies your espresso workflow, making it an essential espresso accessory for home baristas and professionals alike. UNIVERSAL 58MM COMPATIBILITY: Designed to fit most 58mm portafilters and espresso machines including Breville Dual Boiler, Oracle, Oracle Touch, La Marzocco, Rocket, Rancilio Silvia, ECM, La Pavoni, Alex Duetto, Astoria, Hamilton Beach, and all E61 group head models. One tool covers your entire espresso setup. PRECISION ADJUSTABLE DEPTH: Customize the tamping depth to match any basket depth for consistent pressure. The increased height adjustability ensures uniform extraction and a richer, fuller flavor in every shot — no more uneven tamps or channeling in your espresso puck. PREMIUM 304 STAINLESS STEEL BUILD: Crafted from food-grade stainless steel for rust-proof durability and long-lasting performance. The diamond-patterned palm grip provides a non-slip, ergonomic hold that feels comfortable in your hand even during busy morning brew sessions. PROFESSIONAL BARISTA GRADE RESULTS: Achieve café-quality espresso at home with consistent distribution and tamping pressure. For best results, dose your portafilter basket fully, groom the top with a finger or flat edge before leveling, and tamp with the dual head tool. Pair with filtered water for optimal flavor extraction.
58mm Double-Headed Espresso Tamper and Distributor by MATOW

Take your barista skills and style up a notch with a professional, dual-head portafilter leveler and tamp.

Do justice to your brew. Level, evenly distributed grounds are an essential first step in achieving the perfectly packed basket of fine ground espresso. Twist the 3 leaf clover dial side down 3 times to evenly disperse the grounds. Turn your tool over and use the flat base palm tamper. Packing the grounds tight creates the right amount of pressure for a proper espresso pull.

The adjustable height of the distributor allows some control over depth of your pack (*remember - a full basket is required to get a tight pack and high quality pour. If the basket isn't completely full the tool will not reach your grounds. For best results, groom the top of the basket with a flat edge before leveling and tamping).

Use the distribution/leveling side to evenly distribute the grounds in your portafilter, then flip to the adjustable tamper side for a uniform tamp, every time.

HOW IT WORKS:

PROCESS 1 - Load your portafilter basket with the desired amount of freshly ground coffee.
PROCESS 2 - Retract the distributor side to it's shallowest depth, and place the distributor on your portafilter, blade side down.
PROCESS 3 - Gently spin the distributor until your coffee grounds have been evenly distributed and leveled. If the distributor does not reach the coffee, adjust the depth accordingly. Note: you do not want to be applying heavy pressure to the grounds at this stage -- only enough to level the coffee in the basket.
PROCESS 4 - Flip the distributor over and extend the tamper (flat side) to its maximum height. Tamp your grounds to your desired pressure.
PROCESS 5 - For consistent tamping every time, adjust the tamper depth so it matches the depth of the tamp you created in Step 4.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $7 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for MATOW products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
