The LinkTap Extender is an IP66-rated Zigbee mesh repeater that expands and stabilizes wireless coverage between your LinkTap Gateway and LinkTap devices. Use it to bridge distance and obstacles—ideal for large yards, outdoor faucets far from the router, Wi-Fi dead zones, and signal-blocking areas such as garages, sheds, greenhouses, brick walls, or metal structures. Unlike typical Wi-Fi hose timers that depend on the quality of your home Wi-Fi at the tap, the LinkTap system uses a Zigbee-based mesh network. The Extender relays signals between devices, improving reliability in challenging sites and helping keep schedules, monitoring, and alerts consistent. Multiple Extenders are supported per Gateway and can be daisy-chained (multi-hop) to extend coverage further across long distances or around difficult terrain. The Extender is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation and supports flexible power options: use the included AC-DC adapter, a solar panel with built-in rechargeable batteries, or any 5–12V DC power input—so you can place coverage exactly where it’s needed. In the LinkTap app, the device topology graph helps you visualize connections and optimize placement.
