Description

THE ULTIMATE ENGINEERING DUO: Get two hands-on building projects in one bundle — engineer a wiggle-eyed domino robot that lays out domino runs all by itself, then build a spring-powered jumping robot that you can customize to hop, hop, hop. Two builds, twice the fun, and a whole lot of real-world science in between.

REAL-WORLD SCIENCE: From the potential and kinetic energy that launches your jumping robot into the air to the chain reactions and exponential energy transfer behind every domino run, these two projects pack serious physics into seriously fun builds.

BUILD-IT-YOURSELF — DOMINO MACHINE: Assemble your very own domino-laying robot from scratch using an illustrated blueprint and step-by-step online video tutorial — then design and set up your own daring domino runs using the 100 included wood dominoes.

BUILD-IT-YOURSELF — JUMPING ROBOT: Construct the cams, hook up the spring-powered mechanism, then customize your robot's look using the premade exterior or your own designs. Set it on a flat surface, flip the switch, and watch it leap.

EDUCATIONAL: Explore chain reactions, exponential growth, and the science of energy transfer — then switch gears and experiment with how cams extend and release a spring to send your robot airborne. Change the build, change the jump.

TESTED BY KIDS, TRUSTED BY PARENTS: For over 10 years, KiwiCo has delivered engaging, hands-on projects designed to spark the next generation of innovators. With over 50 million products delivered worldwide, KiwiCo knows what kids love.

Discover robotics with this 2-pack bundle of our most beloved ’bots! Play with mechanical motion as you engineer a jumping robot, get hands-on with switches as you program your own domino runs with a domino robot you build yourself. Which will you engineer first?

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $9 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for KiwiCo products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
