Description

ULTRALIGHT TRACTION REDEFINED: Over 43% lighter than the original, MICROspikes Ghost trades steel chains for durable thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and a streamlined thermoplastic rubber (TPR) toe harness, boosting packability without sacrificing grip. Equipped with 12 hard-wearing spikes per foot (8 forefoot, 4 heel) for aggressive traction on icy, uneven terrain. Perfect for flexible footwear such as trail runners and lightweight hikers.

HYBRID ELASTOMER HARNESS WITH REINFORCED EYELETS: An innovative design combines durable TPR at the toe and flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) at the heel for a secure, lightweight fit. Reinforced eyelets at key stress points enhance durability without adding bulk, keeping the harness strong, streamlined, and trail-ready.

ADDITIONAL PREMIUM FEATURES: Articulating rivets create a rock-solid connection while allowing spikes to move independently, shedding snow and preventing buildup for consistent, reliable traction. A raised heel tab makes slipping them on and off effortless, even with gloves. Includes a compact tote sack (6.75 x 6.25 x 0.25 in) for easy storage and transport.

KAHTOOLA: Est. in 1999 Kahtoola is on a mission to build exceptional products that make the outdoors more accessible and rewarding. Please see the sizing chart in product images. 4-year manufacturer warranty. Shoes not included.

We’ve taken the fabled performance of MICROspikes traction and transformed it into a fleet-footed, packable spirit of the steeps. Coming in at just over half the weight of the original, MICROspikes Ghost replaces steel chains with durable, lightweight TPU and introduces a lighter, high-performance TPR toe harness with increased packability. At the same time, it maintains an aggressive spike length and arrangement demanding outdoor adventurers have come to rely on. MICROspikes Ghost is ideal for use on lightweight, flexible footwear such as trail runners or hiking shoes

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $20 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for Kahtoola products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
