This lens hood is designed for Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. It helps prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. It is crafted from ABS plastic material and features a non-glare matte finish on the interior surface to limit lens flare further. The hood allows you to put on a 82mm filter or lens cap. It also incorporates a filter adjustment window, which benefits the use of rotating filter types (e.g. polarizers and variable NDs) without needing to remove the hood. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, it provides extra protection from accidental impact. The hood can also be placed backward over the lens for more compact storage. The JJC LH-SH168 replaces Sony ALC-SH168 lens hood. No vignetting will show with the hood on.
