Description
UL certified approved.Industrial grade heat shrinkage tube for connection. Tough XLPE as inner insulation and weather resistant PVC (high-low temperature) as out jacket.
18 feet,120V, 7 watts per foot. Applications tape/electrical tape, 1/2-inch fiberglass or equivalent nonflammable pipe insulation with vapor seal.
For metal and plastic water pipes: Not use for empty water pipes, hoses, fuel lines, gutters, steam lines and so on. Never plug in the heating cable while it is coiled. The thermostat and the entire heating cable must be in contact with the pipe.
Self regulating heating cable: Heating cable may remain on the pipe year round, but we recommend always turning off or disconnecting the power at the end of the season. The thermostat turns the heating cable on when exposed to temperatures below 38°F. It will shut the heating cable off when the pipe has been heated to a temperature of approximately 45°F.
Including grounded plug with light, built in thermostat, and instructions. Easy to install. Install only in accessible locations. Do not install behind walls or where hidden. Do not run through walls, ceiling or floors. Don’t use an extension on cord to reach the receptible. Read installation instructions thoroughly and install only as directed.
SELECTION GUIDE
Choosing the right length of pipe freeze protection cable: Cable should be long enough to run along bottom of horizontal pipes and “weather side” of vertical pipes(including valves) without crossing or spiraling.Never use a cable longer than the pipe it is intended to protect.
1.Measure the length of pipe to be protected, including valves.
2.Cable will be applied straight along pipe, and will protect pipes up to 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
3.For pipe lengths other than standard hating cable sizes, use two heating cables in parallel on apposite sides of the pipe.Maximum “overrun”should not exceed 3 feet.Do not install on pipe shorter than three feet.
STANDARD LENGTHS
To protect a pipe with a standard length of heating cable, apply the cable straight along the bottom of horizontal pipe or the "weather side" of vertical pipe following installation instructions.
NONSRANDARD LENGTHS
For pipe diameters from 3/8 inches to 3/4 inches, cable can be up to 2feet shorter than pipe. for pipe diameters from 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches, apply two separate cables on opposite ends following installation instructions.Overrun in the middle of the pipe should not exceed 3 feet.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.
Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $15 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for HYDRO MASTER products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
