This Split Nut measures about 2 3/4" ID and mounts on the old Pump Union holding flange and screws onto the pump threads with a gasket between the union and pump.
If your pump union plumbing is 1 1/2" or 2" and your pump Threads are 2" (Meaning the Threaded Part measures about 3" Across) this part is correct. This version is the most popular version. This part is used in hot tubs to do an emergency pump union repair instead of replacing the pump union and all other glued in parts.
To install this repair kit you will have to remove the old broken pump union flange nut. This nut can be cut off with a hack saw blade or some cutting pliers if the nut is split enough. Be careful not to cut the pump union glued body when cutting the nut off because you will reuse the body.
