JHSF is a self-regulating heating cable, can automatically adjusts the heat output at various points along the cable according to the ambient temperature. Built in thermostat, turn the cable on when the ambient temperature is 37℉/3℃, and turn it off at 50℉/10℃. When install the cable, please make sure the thermostat of the cable tightly against the pipe, and placed on the coldest end of the pipe to turn the cable on or off. Testing Method: Plug the cable in, put the thermostat of the heating cable on ice, and in approximately 5 - 10 minutes, it should feel slightly warm to the touch. No overheat risk. The maximum temperature that the heating cable can reach will not exceed 65℃ (149℉).
