GREEN VENT - Modern Air Return Grille 12x12 (Duct Opening) - Decorative White Aluminum Air Vent Cover with Washable Mesh Pre-Filter for Ceiling, Wall - Quiet HVAC Grille for Home — Open-Box, 32% Off

FITS 12" x 12" DUCT OPENING - CHECK BOTH DUCT & FACE SIZE BEFORE ORDERING: This return air grille is listed 12" x 12" by duct opening size - the open hole in your wall or ceiling, not the face size. Check (1) duct opening: neck size is 11-3/4" x 11-3/4", slightly smaller than the opening for easy insertion; and (2) face size: outer face is 13-15/16" x 13-15/16" and overlaps on all four sides. Make sure there is enough flat surface for a flush fit. Do not order by your old cover’s face size alone. See our sizing photo for all dimensions. WASHABLE MESH PRE-FILTER INCLUDED - CATCHES DUST BEFORE IT RECIRCULATES: Most return air grilles are only a decorative face, with unfiltered air passing through at the vent cover level. This GREEN VENT Modern Return Grille includes a reusable, washable mesh pre-filter behind the grille face to catch large dust particles, pet hair, and debris before they recirculate through your HVAC system. It is not a replacement for your main air filter at the air handler, but a first-line capture layer that helps keep the grille cleaner and reduces load on the main filter. Remove without tools, rinse, dry, and reinstall. No replacement filters to buy. Made in Vietnam from alloy aluminum. CURVED 45° BLADE DESIGN - CONCEALS DUCT INTERIOR, MODERN ARCHITECTURAL FINISH: Precision-angled curved blades set at 45° give this decorative return air vent cover a clean, modern look while serving a key practical purpose: the blade angle blocks the direct line of sight into the duct cavity, so the interior of your ductwork stays completely hidden from view at normal eye level - no exposed duct opening, no unsightly duct interior visible. Heavy-gauge alloy aluminum frame - assembled from precision aluminum profiles - with a smooth, glossy powder-coated white finish. Rust-proof and warp-resistant. WIDER BLADE OPENINGS - MORE AIRFLOW, QUIETER OPERATION THAN TRADITIONAL STEEL GRILLES: Traditional stamped steel return grilles use narrow slots that restrict airflow and can cause whistling or humming noise. The GREEN VENT curved blade design provides a larger open area between blades, allowing the same return air volume to pass through at lower velocity. Lower air velocity means less turbulence, less noise, and less resistance on your HVAC system. The result is quieter return air vent noise reduction and better airflow performance than a standard steel HVAC return air grille - especially noticeable in bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways where background noise matters. EASY RETROFIT INSTALLATION - SCREWS INCLUDED, SEE PHOTO GUIDE IN IMAGES: Place the HVAC return air grille over your duct opening on wall or ceiling and secure with the included screws. Optional: apply white silicone adhesive around the border for a more secure fit and to cover any dirt marks left by your previous vent. See the step-by-step installation photo in our listing images for full guidance. Floor installation in zero-traffic locations only - not suitable for any walking surface. MODERN UPGRADE FROM TRADITIONAL STEEL RETURN GRILLES: Traditional flat steel return air grilles leave your duct completely open - no filter, no style, just a basic metal face. This GREEN VENT Modern Return Grille upgrades both problems at once: the curved 45° blade design conceals the duct interior completely from view, and the included washable mesh pre-filter catches dust and pet hair before they enter your return duct. Alloy aluminum construction does not rust or warp over time the way steel grilles do. A direct drop-in replacement for standard residential duct openings - no tools or ductwork modification required beyond screws. QUICK ANSWERS - SIZING, FILTER, AND INSTALLATION: What size should I order? Order by duct opening size - the hole in your wall or ceiling - and check the face size fits the surrounding wall space; see sizing photo in images. Does the mesh filter replace my furnace or air handler filter? No - it is only a supplemental first-line dust capture layer. Keep your main MERV-rated filter in place. How do I clean it? Unscrew the grille face, remove the mesh, rinse, dry fully, and reinstall. Can it be painted? Yes - sand lightly, prime, then spray paint. Finish? Standard finish is glossy white.
