Description

2 USB-C AND 2 USB-A PORTS: Add four ports to your desktop, server or NAS from a single PCIe x1 slot, two reversible USB-C and two USB-A, all running at 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1) over the shared bus bandwidth.

5V/2A POWER PER PORT: Every port supplies up to 10W straight from the motherboard slot, enough for VR sensors such as Oculus and HP Reverb, industrial cameras and NVMe SSD enclosures, with no extra power cable.

UPD720201 WITH INDEPENDENT POWER MANAGEMENT: Renesas UPD720201 host controller with solid capacitors, shielded inductors and self-recovery fuses on each channel for multi-layer data and power protection.

PLUG AND PLAY ON WINDOWS AND LINUX: Works natively on Windows 11/10/8, Windows Server 2012-2022 and Linux on Intel, AMD and ARM platforms, with no driver needed on Windows 8 and above. Not compatible with Mac OS.

STANDARD BRACKET, SIMPLE INSTALL: Fits PCIe x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots in full-height cases. The standard-profile bracket is not intended for slim cases, and the card is self-powered with no extra power connection.

The GLOTRENDS U3044AC combines two USB-C and two USB-A ports on one PCIe x1 card, so a desktop, server or NAS can gain both modern and legacy connections at 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1). The Renesas UPD720201 host controller drives all four ports, each able to supply up to 5V/2A, which is enough to run VR sensors such as Oculus and HP Reverb, industrial cameras and NVMe SSD enclosures without an external power cable. Independent power management with solid capacitors, shielded inductors and self-recovery fuses on every channel protects both the devices and the motherboard. Windows 11/10/8, Windows Server 2012 to 2022 and Linux recognise the card natively on Intel, AMD and ARM platforms, and Windows 8 and above need no driver at all. The card installs in PCIe x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots with a standard-profile bracket for full-height cases. Mac OS is not supported.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $2 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for GLOTRENDS products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
