Description
PREPARE TO BE COOL: The Glacier Tek Sport Vest maintains a dry, comfortable 59°F for up to 2.5 hours in 100°F heat depending on ambient air temperature, humidity levels, body size and activity. Our cooling packs are made of phase change materials, provide long-term personal cooling relief to beat the summer heat.
HOW IT WORKS: The cooling vest has four interior pockets that hold cold packs snug against the torso. The cold packs will pull heat out of the body’s core effectively lowering your body temperature and delivering a continual sensation of cooling. It is simple science, no gimmicks here. The packs hold a constant temp of 59°F, provide cooling relief that keeps your clothes dry and works in humidity.
EASY RECHARGE: The cooling packs recharge in about 30 minutes in ice water (or a mountain stream), one hour in the freezer, or two hours in the refrigerator.
MULTIPLE USES: Ideal for athletes, construction workers, landscapers, MS patients and others. Useful for anyone working in heat related occupations and people with heat sensitive medical condition. Founded in 1997, Glacier Tek has been supplying cooling relief to satisfied customers for over 25 years.
ADJUSTABLE SIZING: Designed for comfort and functionality, the cool vest provides a full range of motion and features adjustable dual side straps, adjustable shoulder straps, and a heavy-duty front zipper. One size fit most however we recommend purchasing an extender set for chest sizes greater than 52 inches. Available under ASIN B07D1R8SNF.
ADJUSTABLE COOLING: To extend cooling relief beyond 2 hours consider purchasing a spare pack set available under ASIN B07FTTVPRT or a Glacier Tek Booster set ASIN B07NBTQHD9. The vest set fully loaded with 8 packs weighs less than 5 pounds. For use in less demanding conditions, such as indoor use, you can make the vest lighter by using one cooling pack per pocket instead of two.
Our sports vest is designed to keep you cool during and after strenuous
physical activity. The vest features dual side elastic straps and
over-the-shoulder adjustability for a secure fit on a wide range of body
sizes. Each vest includes a set of eight cooling packs that maintain a cool
– but not cold – temperature of 59° F for up to 2½ hours. The packs are
powered by PureTemp, a phase change material. In lab tests, the cooling material has shown
consistent, repeatable performance over thousands of melting-solidification
cycles. In short: It never stops working.
SIZING: The Sports Vest comes in one size designed to fit most adults.
It weighs just under 5 pounds, including cooling packs, and will fit
chest sizes between 29 inches and 52 inches. Extender strap sets, sold
separately, are available for larger adults.
The Glacier Tek Children's Cool Vest, also available on Amazon, weighs less
than 3 pounds, including cooling packs. It is designed for children who
weigh between 30 and 90 pounds.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.
Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $37 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for Glacier Tek products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
