This kit includes a full set of precision-tuned, polished, Official BSA Axles and lightly-lathed BSA Wheels to make your car the fastest on the derby track.
Each wheel is precision-lathed in five areas to remove all imperfections and to make them concentric to the wheel bore. This makes your wheel turn smoothly to minimize friction. Areas lathed include the tread, outer rim, hub surface contacts the car body, and the outside of the hub. Additionally, we remove the step in the wheel where the axle head makes contact with the wheel, so the axle and wheel surfaces are perfectly smooth. Your wheel turns smoothly and flawlessly to make your car fast.
Axles are straightened, deburred, the crimp marks are removed and then the axle is polished. With precision-tuned axles and wheels, friction is minimized for maximum speed.
Both the axles and the wheels are from the Official Scout Derby Kit, so they are legal in all races, as long as your rules allow you to remove imperfections from the wheels.
ALWAYS read your rules! The rules should state that you are allowed to do "light sanding" to remove imperfections on the wheels. If you have questions, always ask your race manager for clarification.
