The model is life-sized, and has no external hardware, allowing for an uninterrupted study of the external & internal structure of the skull. Its removable calvarium is attached using magnets and small pegs, allowing for easy removal and secure replacement. The skull has a realistic bone texture and colored with clear sutures, allowing for clear identification of the individual bones of the skull and their natural boarder. All foramen and fossa are present.  The articular disk of the temporomandibular joint is displayed, carefully cradling the mandibular condyle and allowing for the smooth articulation of the jaw. The lower jaw allows movement of natural open & close with the aid of spring. The permanent teeth are displayed, as well as an impacted wisdom tooth. Even the texture of the palatine bones is clearly visible, making this a truly deluxe skull model.
