Description

Premium Aluminum Alloy Construction: Unlike fragile plastic reels, this 7 inch reel is crafted from high-hardness aluminum to resist bending and warping. This structural integrity ensures the reel remains perfectly flat, preventing tape edge scraping and protecting your valuable analog audio recordings for decades. Universal Compatibility Design: Engineered as a standard 1/4 inch tape takeup reel, it fits seamlessly on any open reel tape recorder compatible with 7-inch reels. The precise trident mount ensures a secure fit on the spindle, offering a hassle-free replacement for worn-out original parts on your vintage deck. Enhanced Audio Performance: The classic 3-hole wind resistance design is dynamically balanced to reduce vibration and motor load during high-speed rotation. By maintaining stable tape tension, this empty tape reel minimizes wow and flutter, delivering a cleaner, true-to-source sound experience for audiophiles. Precision CNC Machining: Weighing 210g with exact dimensions, this reel features smooth, hardened surfaces that are gentle on your tape. The robust build quality acts as an upgrade for your equipment, ensuring smooth winding and rewinding operations without the wobble common in aged vintage reels. Professional Restoration Aesthetics: Designed to restore the visual soul of your recorder, the silver metallic finish complements both classic and modern equipment. It serves as an ideal replacement spool for organizing your tape library, giving your setup a polished, studio-grade appearance while ensuring safe storage.

Restore the Soul of Your Analog Sound

As a vintage audio enthusiast, you know that the reel is more than just a holder—it's part of the instrument. The EAJONC 7-Inch Empty Tape Reel is engineered to bring your open-reel tape recorder back to life.

Why Choose Aluminum?
Unlike vintage plastic reels that become brittle and warped over decades, our aviation-grade aluminum alloy construction ensures absolute flatness. This precision reduces wow and flutter, providing the stable platform your high-fidelity recordings demand.

Classic Aesthetics, Modern Reliability
Featuring a timeless 3-hole design, this reel not only improves machine performance by reducing wind resistance but also looks stunning on your deck. Whether you have a classic Akai or a high-end Ballfinger, this silver reel adds a touch of professional elegance to your listening room.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $3 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for EAJONC products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
