DP 2.1 DP40 (UHBR10) 40Gbps Performance: Supports up to 40Gbps video bandwidth for resolutions up to 8K@120Hz or 4K@480Hz (and 4K@120Hz, depending on host/display). Actual modes depend on GPU/DP link rate, DSC support, OS limits, and the display’s supported modes (resolution/refresh/HDR).

Video-Only, No Power Delivery: This DisplayPort Alt Mode video cable carries video only—no USB data and no USB-C Power Delivery. DisplayPort sources cannot power USB-C portable monitors, AR glasses, or VR headsets. Works with USB-C displays that accept DP Alt Mode and have their own power input (second USB-C power port or external power). Not recommended for single-port “one-cable” portable monitors that rely on source power.
