Breyer Traditional Series Collectible Horse | Mr. Shining Gun | 3X World’s Best Appaloosa Winner |B-TR-10807 — Open-Box, 13% Off

WORLD’S BEST APPALOOSA: Mr. Shining Gun may catch your eye with his gorgeous buckskin blanket coat, but it’s this Appaloosa’s personality and athleticism that keeps his many fans watching! Better known as “Goose” to his family, Mr. Shining Gun has been a standout in Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) competition for over a decade and has made a place in the hearts of countless horse lovers, permanently.

APPALOOSA APPEAL: Goose’s striking coat color is a sooty buckskin blanket; a golden-tan coat with black points, and black mane, tail and lower legs. “Sooty” refers to the dark shading mixed into his coat, giving him a “dusted” look (think chimneysweep). The large white patch over his back and hips is called a blanket, a lovely pattern trait in Appaloosas. Blankets may be solid or spotted, like Mr. Shining Gun’s. Originally bred by the indigenous Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) tribe over 2000 years ago, Appaloosa’s are an intelligent, athletic horse breed, with a friendly, calm nature.

“GOOSE” - A FAMILY LEGACY: Owned by Jim Jirkovsky and loved by the entire family, Goose has the distinct honor of competing with three generations of Jim’s family. This special connection has resulted in titles in youth, open, cow horse, ranch, and roping events. Happiest when he’s showing, Goose currently continues to compete and teach the younger generation the rewards of stellar horsemanship.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Goose is a remarkable 3-time winner of the World’s Best Appaloosa at the World Championship Appaloosa show. He’s won 17 Open World and National Championships, 3 World Champion Cattle Horse titles and 15 Youth World Championships. n 2019, Goose was inducted into the ApHC’s Hall of Fame, making him one of only 17 geldings to achieve this honor!
