Blue Mountain Hay | Organic Seedless Garden Straw (3 lb) | Natural Mulch for Gardening, Flower Beds, Yard Landscaping, New Lawn Grass Seeding, Composting | Covers up to 30 sq ft — Open-Box, 22% Off
Brand: Blue Mountain Hay
Description
100% CERTIFIED ORGANIC: Grown in USDA Certified Organic fields on local family farms in the Pacific Northwest. There are NO herbicides, antibiotics, GMOs, or toxic chemicals used, making our organic garden straw mulch safe for you and your pets!
MOISTURE RETENTION & COOLING: Our Organic Seedless Garden Straw retains moisture, keeping your soil wet longer and reducing the frequency you need to water your garden. The protective straw cover also shades your soil so cool season crops don’t bolt as soon and grow longer into the warmer months.
NEW LAWN SEEDING: Great for new yard applications! Garden straw provides warmth and moisture for early spring and late fall grass seed applications. It protects grass seed from scouring due to rain, overwatering or high winds so your new grass growing is off to a great start!
NATURAL COMPOSTING: Unlike artificial fabrics, chemicals and covers, organic garden straw is actually good for your garden. Straw naturally composts and slowly adds nutrients back to the soil. Your garden and lawn will remain truly organic while improving your soil and encouraging worm habit.
EFFECTIVE WEED BARRIER: Since organic straw mulch blocks out the sun, it can help prevent weeds from growing. Garden straw covers the soil which stops unwanted seed germination from weeds. It can also save on high summer water bills.
