Each stud has a 1/4"-20 thread, thread length of 1.83", and overall length of 4.50". The recommended drill hole size is 0.25". These terminals are specifically engineered to work with 3/16" stainless steel cable (1x19 construction works best). The included lock nuts and washers simplify securing the fitting into wood or metal posts.
Installation notes
These swage studs require a hydraulic swaging tool or hand swager to properly crimp the cable end. We do not recommend using ordinary pliers. For a complete setup, pair with our compatible hydraulic crimper (B083Z5JQJ9) and 3/16" cable (B0CW1CXXFT). The stud tension design allows you to adjust cable tension after installation—tighten the nut to pull the cable taut.
Handling angled runs
Unlike many basic kits, this system supports stairway or raked installations. When running cables on an angle, use 30-degree angled washers (ASIN: B0BRK3XNFJ) to keep the fitting properly aligned and prevent bending stress on the stud.
