If privacy is not an essential aspect of your lifestyle but good heat rejection is, BDF's Exterior Silver 35 Window Film makes a very good choice. As the name suggests, the film is applied on the outside, which works to block solar heat before it even passes through your windows, keeping your home much cooler. With a medium reflective, silver tint, the EXS35 still adds a bit of shade to your window, but it lets in a good amount of light for living arrangements that desire exposure to sunlight while keeping temperatures cool. Since the film is exposed to the conditions outside, the edges of the installed film should be sealed with silicone window caulking after the film has fully dried.
