For firearms safety and the longevity of your AR500 shooting target plates, it is important to hang your plates at an angle. The included extra long Grade 8 bolts allow you to hang your target plate at any angle you choose. 20-Degree hanging angle is recommended. Do not shoot steel targets with handguns closer than 25 yards, do not shoot steel targets with centerfire rifles closer than 100 yards.

Chains have the loudest report and allow your target plate to swing the most freely when hit. Straps can take many shots without failure, plates without a center hole will need two straps. Our Big Strap Kit works great for plates with a center hole, the 6" wide strap will take 100s of shots.

How to mount your plate, 3/4 wrench required: 1) Insert carriage bolt into your AR500 target plate, 2) Tighten one of the nuts against your target plate 3) Thread another nut onto the bolt leaving enough bolt length for two washers, strap and the last nut 4) Insert washer, then strap, then another washer 5) Thread on last nut such that the bolt threads come through the nut fully.
