【Blue & red components】The blue and red components are flow limiters/pressure plates used to slow down the water flow speed. The cleaner inserted into the quick disconnect connector can adjust the speed at which the cleaner moves along the bottom of the pool, preventing excessive pressure on the related cleaner from the booster pump, thus assisting the water flow limiter. The red flow limiter has a smaller opening, which creates greater pressure as the water is forced through the opening, allowing the cleaner to move faster. You can choose to use them or not depending on the situation
