Installation Steps 1. Turn Off the Engine Turn off the engine, let it cool, disconnect the spark plug, and drain any remaining fuel. 2. Remove the Old Valve Use pliers to loosen the hose clamps, then remove the old fuel shut-off valve or cut the fuel line at the installation point. 3. Install the New Valve Slide the hose clamps onto the fuel line, then push the fuel line firmly onto both ends of the new 1/4" inline fuel shut off valve. Tip: A small amount of dish soap can help the hose slide on more easily. 4. Tighten and Check Move the clamps over the connections and tighten them securely. Turn the valve ON and OFF to make sure it works smoothly. 5. Test for Leaks Reconnect the spark plug, turn the valve ON, start the engine, and check both connections for leaks.
