MODEL NUMBER: 52W29 Furnace Flame Sensor. The flame sensor monitors the burner to detect whether or not a flame is present. If the sensor does not detect a flame, it shuts the gas valve off, preventing raw gas from dumping into your home. Over time, a flame sensor may lose it's the ability to sense the flame, even when the flame is present.
