Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD - F-mount (for Nikon) Camera Lens — Refurbished, 56% Off

The Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD is a sophisticated reimagining of the classic standard prime. Part of Tamron’s prestigious "Super Performance" (SP) lineup, this lens offers a slightly wider 45mm field of view that feels more natural and immersive than a traditional 50mm. Designed for full-frame Nikon F-mount DSLRs, it delivers a level of versatility and optical performance that challenges even the most expensive manufacturer-branded primes.

Built-in Vibration Compensation (VC)
In a rare feat for a fast prime lens, Tamron integrated its proprietary Vibration Compensation (VC) system.

Sharp Handheld Shots: The VC system allows you to shoot at significantly slower shutter speeds without camera shake, making it an invaluable tool for low-light street photography or indoor events.

Maximizing Resolution: Stabilization is critical for getting the most out of high-megapixel Nikon sensors (like the D850), ensuring that micro-jitters don't soften your finest details.

Exceptional Macro-Like Close Focusing
One of the most remarkable features of the SP 45mm is its MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of just 0.29m (11.4").

Creative Close-Ups: This is the shortest focusing distance in its class, allowing you to get incredibly close to your subjects for dramatic wide-angle macro-style shots.

Magnification: With a reproduction ratio of 1:3.4, it offers a unique perspective for food photography, nature details, and intimate portraits.

Elite SP-Series Optics
The optical design is engineered for edge-to-edge clarity and beautiful rendering.

Advanced Glass Elements: Features two molded glass aspherical elements, one LD (Low Dispersion) element, and one eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) coating to virtually eliminate flare, ghosting, and chromatic aberrations.

9-Blade Rounded Diaphragm: Produces a soft, creamy background bokeh that beautifully isolates your subject from the background.

USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive): Provides fast, quiet, and precise autofocus with full-time manual focus override for instant creative adjustments.

Professional Build and Reliability
Moisture-Resistant Construction: The lens features weather sealing throughout the barrel and a rubber gasket at the mount to protect against the elements.

Fluorine Coating: The front element is treated with a specialized fluorine compound that repels water and oil, making it easy to wipe away fingerprints and smudges.

Nikon Compatibility: Fully compatible with both full-frame (FX) and crop-sensor (DX) Nikon DSLRs. On a DX camera, it provides an effective focal length of approximately 67.5mm, making it a fantastic "short" portrait lens.
