Sirui 35mm f/1.8 Super35 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens - L-mount Camera Lens — Refurbished, 35% Off

The Sirui 35mm f/1.8 Super35 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens is a specialized cinematic tool engineered to bring high-end widescreen production to the L-mount ecosystem. By utilizing a 1.33x squeeze factor, it increases the horizontal field of view by 33%, allowing filmmakers to capture a cinematic 2.4:1 aspect ratio without the need for heavy cropping. This lens is the definitive choice for independent creators who require the unique optical characteristics of anamorphic glass—such as horizontal blue flares and elongated oval bokeh—in a compact, lightweight form factor that balances perfectly on modern mirrorless gimbals.

Cinematic Optical Characteristics
Signature Blue Streaks: Features a specialized optical coating that produces retro-style horizontal blue flares when pointed toward light sources, adding a professional, high-budget aesthetic to your footage.

1.33x Anamorphic Squeeze: Expands your storytelling canvas by capturing more horizontal information on the sensor. When "desqueezed" in post-production, it yields a wide, cinematic perspective that draws viewers into the scene.

Fast f/1.8 Maximum Aperture: Provides exceptional low-light performance and a shallow depth of field, which is critical for creating dramatic subject isolation and the distinctive oval-shaped out-of-focus highlights unique to anamorphic lenses.

Precision Filmmaking Build
All-Metal Construction: Built with a robust aircraft-grade aluminum housing and a high-precision copper mount to ensure long-term durability and a professional tactile feel during manual operation.

Geared Focus and Aperture Rings: Features standard 0.8 MOD gears, making it fully compatible with follow-focus systems and cinema-grade lens motors for smooth, repeatable rack focuses.

Nano Coating Technology: German-manufactured Schott optical glass elements are treated with a multi-layer Nano coating to minimize ghosting while maintaining the lens's signature flare characteristics.

Optimized Handling and Versatility
Compact and Lightweight Design: Weighing approximately 700g, it is significantly more portable than traditional cinema anamorphic lenses, allowing for easier handheld operation and longer shoot days.

Long Focus Throw: The focus ring features a large rotation angle for precise manual adjustments, essential for maintaining sharp focus on moving subjects in a widescreen frame.

67mm Filter Thread: Utilizes a standard filter size, allowing for the easy addition of variable ND filters to maintain cinematic shutter speeds in bright outdoor environments.
