Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM | Art - F-mount (for Nikon) Camera Lens in Very Good condition — Refurbished, 31% Off

The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is widely regarded as one of the finest portrait lenses ever created for the Nikon F-mount system. Designed to meet the grueling demands of 50-megapixel plus sensors, this lens prioritizes optical performance above all else, offering a level of resolution and edge-to-edge clarity that redefined what photographers expect from a fast 85mm prime.

The Ultimate Portrait Engine
The 85mm focal length combined with an ultra-fast f/1.4 aperture creates the ideal tool for subject isolation.

Exceptional Sharpness: Even when shot wide open at f/1.4, the lens maintains incredible detail, making it perfect for capturing intricate textures in eyes and skin.

Art Series Bokeh: A 9-blade rounded diaphragm produces a smooth, painterly background blur that makes subjects "pop" with a distinct three-dimensional quality.

Minimizing Aberrations: The optical layout includes two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and one element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion/high refractive index to virtually eliminate color fringing and flare.

High-Speed Performance
Re-engineered HSM: The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) has been updated to provide 1.3x the torque of its predecessor, ensuring rapid, stable, and near-silent autofocus—even with the large, heavy glass elements required for an f/1.4 design.

Full-Time Manual Override: Photographers can instantly switch to manual focus simply by rotating the focus ring, allowing for precise creative control without flipping a switch.

Electromagnetic Diaphragm: For Nikon users, this lens includes an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism, ensuring highly stable auto-exposure control during high-speed continuous shooting.

Professional Build Quality
Constructed with Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material and traditional metals, the lens is built to perform in varied temperatures without losing precision.

Brass Bayonet Mount: The high-accuracy brass mount combines durability with a secure fit to the camera body.

Dust and Splash Resistance: The mount features rubber sealing to help protect the camera-lens connection from the elements during outdoor shoots.

Nikon Compatibility: Designed for full-frame (FX) Nikon DSLRs, it also performs exceptionally well on DX-format bodies, where it provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length.
